After we landed we hopped onto our Noribus for the first time. These people to love noribang so much that you can find it on random modes of transportation like tour buses and trains. Off we went to have dinner that was "Black Pork", meaning that it was pig which had been fed human waste. It is supposed to make the meat taste really good, but as I don't eat much pork I didn't have much to compare it to. It was ok I guess.

After we had all settled into the hotel we met up to hangout. We took taxis to the beach about 10 minutes away, but unfortunately it wasn't a sandy beach. No, it was a bunch of sharp rocks next to the water. And being the graceful person that I am I fell forward when I stubbed my toe on the rock. The rocks were so sharp though that when I fell forward it pierced through my jeans and cracked my camera screen. Just perfect on the first night. So the rest of the time I literally did the "point-click" version of the pictures, hoping some would turn out. Luckily many of them did, and even though they aren't as good as they would have been if I could have made adjustments with a screen, I luckily have pictures from the trip.
The next day we started our jam packed schedule of events. It was literally one thing right after another. Here is the day in pictures:
Yet another beach made famous by a drama. These tunnels were used in the Korean War to hide artillery.
This had a really cool wax museum with historical figures involved in peace processes and an exhibit on reconciliation efforts.
A piece of the sculpture is from the Berlin Wall and the steel is from the DMZ
Technically, you aren't supposed to get on the field at the World Cup Stadium. Well, no one was looking...

By this point in the day I was exhausted and wanted to stay on the bus napping. Luckily Mr. We insisted I make the short hike down to see this beautiful waterfall
What a day, huh? Well even after all that we managed to go hit up the one and only night club in Jeju. Its called Dome and the cieling opens up at midnight to the theme of Pirates of the Caribbean while bubbles come down to make it look like it's snowing. The place is not like any I have ever seen before. There are rows of long tables covered in white and a stage with a movable backdrop. There is a DJ booth on the stage, as well as one that is lowered down to hang about 10 feet from the stage. Inbetween sets of dance music they have performers who come out and sing to popular songs. At one point they had an entire Michael Jackson portion.

When we started out dancing, everyone around us was doing the typical Korean sway. Well this girl behind us saw the American style dancing going on and then tried to dance on her two friends. When she was unsuccessful she danced on one of my friends before turning to me. This was only topped by the ajuma in her late 50's that came up behind me and used me as a pole after watching our group for a bit. By the end of the night people were dancing a lot more freely, what can I say cultural exchange is a beautiful thing!
Although I should say I'm surprised we made it to almost closing down the club. One of our most boisterous group members kept jumping on the stage. We kept trying to keep her down, but you would look up and there she would be again. The funniest part was watching her being chased by the security guards who didn't catch her. Although she ate it when she was running off the dance floor after hopping off the stage. We thought we were going to get kicked out, but the manager of the club was getting a kick out of it too.
